Nilgiri Planters' Association
The Nilgiri Planters’ Association (NPA) was founded in the year 1891. It is a registered organization under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1978. The Association represents the organized plantation sector covering a total extent of 6719.55 hectares, spread over the three taluks of the Nilgiris, namely Ooty, Coonoor and Kotagiri.
 
POABS ORGANIC ESTATES
Nestled in the Nelliyampathy hills of Kerala state in South India, the 500-hectare Poabs Organic Estate, at an average elevation of 3,500 feet, is the largest perennial multi-crop organic estate in India, growing tea and coffee, both arabica and robusta, with inter-crops of pepper and cardamom.
 
Kelagur Coffee & Tea Estate
Kelagur Coffee & Tea Estates is located in Chikmagalur District in Karnataka state. Situated in the Western Ghats, the estate is currently spread over 1000 acres, with elevations ranging between 3000 to 4000 feet above msl. The annual rainfall is between 120 to 160 inches.
 
Tata Coffee
Tata Coffee Limited is one of the largest integrated coffee companies in the world. Till recently known as Consolidated Coffee Limited, the company was initially formed in Edinburgh in 1922, and later became an Indian company in 1943. Now a part of the Tata Group of Companies, the company in August 2000 changed its name to Tata Coffee in keeping with the corporate policy of the Tatas to bring all its group companies under the TATA brandmark.
 
 
THE UNITED NILGIRI TEA ESTATES COMPANY LIMITED
Sir Robert Stanes founded The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Co. Ltd. (UNTE) in 1922. In 1960, Shri S Anantharamakrishnan, father of the present Chairman Mr Sivasailam, bought the company from the Stanes family. UNTE, along with other Stanes companies, thus became a part of The Amalgamations Group, a pioneer business conglomerate in South India.
